At Blind Enthusiasm Brewing Company, we tend to enter a fair number of competitions to see how our beers stack up. Sure, we’re a little competitive, but these events are also a great source of expert, structured feedback. Because we focus on a highly specialized style of beer, it shouldn’t be too surprising that we’ve been fortunate enough to earn recognition in many of the competitions we enter.
Below is a quick summary of awards we received across various competitions in calendar year 2024:
March 2024
One of the more unusual competitions we enter is the Concours International de Lyon, a major European beer competition held every year in Lyon, France. In 2024, the competition organized the tasting of 1,860 samples from 49 countries.
It seems the French judges continue to appreciate our beers. Our results:

May 2024
The World Beer Cup is widely considered one of the most prestigious beer competitions in the world. Organized by the Brewers Association in the USA, it typically receives an extensive range of entries. In 2024 the competition saw 9,300 entries from 2,060 breweries across 50 countries.
Our result this year:

October 2024
A mainstay in Alberta’s brewing community, the Alberta Beer Awards—run by the Alberta Small Brewers Association—continues to attract significant participation across the province.

In total, Blind Enthusiasm Brewing Company received 15 awards/medals in 2024.
On October 24, 2026 we’re going to be hosting a very special day at our brewery – our second annual Open Brew Day! It’s a free, community focused event that will allow fans of our beer to join us as we brew. Enjoy this rare opportunity to get behind the scenes and watch us brew a batch of our beer that will be fermented in barrels and eventually blended into one of our bottle releases. We’re very excited to have you join us and get behind the scenes as we brew.
At this year’s World Beer Awards, Blind Enthusiasm took home two of the most coveted titles beer: World’s Best Gueuze for Grand Manifesto, and World’s Best Kriek for Fruitful Pursuits: Cherry!
